OLYMPIA, Wash. — Washington State will continue to allow Tesla to continue its operations and expand, thanks to a bill signed by Gov. Jay Inslee this week, Automotive News reports.
The bill states that a manufacturer that held a dealership license as of January 1, 2014, would be exempt from the law prohibiting manufacturers from selling directly to consumers. Tesla has held a dealership license since the first of this year.
